So, This Year (and this year) started with Mark. He said he really wanted to write a song about New Year’s Eve, and so we got to work. I think it’s inside of a month that this track traveled from conception to revelation — sort of a mind-blowing time frame.
And, my favorite part is still his voice.

Got to see one of my favorite bands yesterday (post title is one of their lyrics) and, I swear, I could feel my soul get happy. As I sat there, automatically singing with nearly two hours of music, I thought about their beginnings, when they only sat in front of a stage.
Only three full days until another beginning when I get on a plane. Here we go.

Two weeks from today, we’ll be on our second day in L.A. — wild. Working together with Mark only twice more before getting on a plane out of Orlando International. CDs ordered — should arrive end of next week. Ordering finals from printer Monday, and those should be finished end of next week, too. Gonna be some kind of amazing to have demos, business cards, bios and lyrics sheets in our hands. (actually not sure if my feet are still touching the ground)

So, went to the printer today to order materials for the Taxi Road Rally, and totally learned something new. Now, I can generate QR codes! Too cool. (A day late for placement on the demo, but, live and learn, right?) Just gotta print it on stuff now…
